Are Scentsy Warmers UL Listed?
The housing the light bulb screws into, the cord, the plug and the switch are UL listed, The UL number can be found right on each of the components except the switch (which is too small, but does have the UL trademark).
What wattage are the light bulbs that are used in Scentsy Warmers?
Our Full-Size Scentsy Warmers use a maximum 25-watt bulb, and the Mid-Size Scentsy Warmers use a maximum 20-watt bulb and the Plug-In Scentsy Warmers uses a maximum 15-watt bulb. Each warmer is supplied with the appropriate light bulb.The Scentsy Candle are wickless Scentsy bars that are made with a custom high quality paraffin was blend that is designed for a specific scent load and low melt point. Scentsy uses a food-grade petroleum based wax for it's superior scent loading ability, melting point and firmness. Food-grade petroleum is the same wax that is sprayed on apples in grocery store to give them their shine. Scentsy warmers only warm the wax, thus there is no danger of chemicals released and no wax evaporation!
What kind of fragrance is used in Scentsy Products?
Scentsy manufactures theirs bars with fragrance oils that can be all-natural, laboratory reproduced copies of natural aromatic chemicals. Some may contain essential oils (natural oils derived form plants) and can have therapeutic effects. Scentsy products may contain essential oils but do not necessarily contain them, so we can make no claims about essential oils in our marketing. Scentsy products do not contain Phtalates.
How long does the Scentsy Bar's fragrance last?
There are numbers of factors, including the size of the room, humidity, temperature, how many cubes from the Scentsy Bar are used at a time and how long your Scentsy Warmer is kept on. You may also get acustomed to the fragrance, thus you may think the fragrance is gone. In general, a Scentsy Bar lasts approximately 40 to 80 hours. There is a wide variation in time due to the composition of different fragrances as well as factors described above.
How hot does the Scentsy wax get?
The temperature of the warmed wax is very low, just above body temperature. The Scentsy Warmers use low-wattage light bulbs that only warm the wax, so the Scentsy wax never get hot enough to burn anyone.
